Peak Performance’s Mighty Mo Run is back.  It is a weekend long event with a 5k on Friday, 10k and kids race on Saturday, and half marathon on Sunday.  Tri-State Marathon is in the works to be back next year when trail and bridge construction is finished.

Here’s a short description from the race website:

Sioux City, Iowa’s Premier Running Event.  Featuring a Kids Run, 5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon, with all new awards!   All courses will be Flat, Fast & Fun!  Starting and Finishing at the Siouxland Expo Center and continuing on the Missouri River Trail next to it.  Proceeds will help support the efforts of the H.A.R.T. Program.  Helping Athlete’s Run & Train.  The 1/2 Marathon will have an updated course because of the flooding on the Big Sioux and Missouri River in 2024.  The FULL Marathon has again been cancelled to the reconstruction on the course.  The Marathon will be back in 2026 as a 3 State Marathon.  Mother Nature and the State of Iowa has spoken on the river.
